MARCH 2024 AFTERMARKET 65 EYEBROW www.aftermarketonline.net Toyota Talent Manager for Autotech Academy Autotech Academy has announced Terrell Lloyd-Conlon as its dedicated Toyota Talent Manager. In the role, he will lead the recently launched Toyota Talent Powered by Autotech Academy initiative which is based upon the Autotech Academy concept and designed to help 100 young people secure a career within the Toyota network within six months. The programme will be rolled out by Terrell to the 240 Toyota and Lexus Retailers located across the UK. Immediately prior joining Autotech Academy, Terrell was Senior Technician at Evans Halshaw Ford, Bedford where he has been since joining as an apprentice at 17. Commenting on his new role, Terrell said: “Through my experience of being an apprentice, I can empathise with young people looking to enter the automotive industry and support the transition from education to employment. When deciding to take a slightly different career route, I wanted to generate new opportunities which would secure automotive career for a new generation of talent.” AA and Drivetech: New appointments New appointments have been made at AA Business Services and Drivetech. Sarah Millward, who was previously AA B2C Strategy Director SMR, has been named as Director of OEM and New Business. She has been with the AA for 22 years in a number of roles, In her new role, Millward will focus on The AA’s manufacturer relationships. Commenting on her new role, she said: “I am lucky enough to have had multiple roles across the company which has given me a broad and deep understanding of all parts of the AA, as well as the automotive industry. I am excited to be sharing my vast experience with the Business Services team and our customers.” Meanwhile, Leo Taylor has been promoted to become Head of Products. He joined the AA in 2020, with almost 20 years of experience in business development and more at a number of companies including Alphabet and BMW Group. He said: I’m really excited about bringing my substantial OEM and Drivetech experience into the wider AA Business Services remit, as we lay the ground for substantial future growth, while also aligning our products with the new consumer duty regulations that are coming in.
