In his role, Thomas will be tasked with range development planning and analysis of its LuK, INA, FAG and Ruville brands, as well as managing and growing REPXPERT training and support to technicians. Thomas said: “I have received tremendous support from my predecessor, Malcolm Short, and the whole Schaeffler team, so I am confident that I will hit the ground running. I want to bring a renewed focus to the product range and technical data so that we continue to deliver the very best service to the automotive aftermarket.” Prior to joining Schaeffler, Thomas was Senior Global Product Manager (Braking and Thermal) at Delphi Automotive, where he was in-charge of handling the divestiture of Delphi Thermal to MAHLE in the aftermarket and managing a significant tender for aftermarket data services. He also held positions within Jaguar Land Rover’s global product marketing and aftersales departments. www.aftermarketonline.net New Manager at Turbo Technics Turbo Technics has appointed Stephen Hynes as General Manager, with responsibility for driving the company forward in the areas of operations, commercial management, strategy and business growth. Stephen joins the company with extensive international sales and marketing experience, having worked for SMEs and large international corporations. His working background includes time with Tier 1 suppliers in the area of power steering, transmissions together with automotive chemicals and capital equipment. In addition, Stephen has extensive automotive aftermarket experience and is MBA- qualified. He will be working closely with Turbo Technics’ founder Geoff Kershaw. IAAF appoints Terry Knox as new president Terry Knox has been appointed the new Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) President, taking over from Lawrence Bleasdale who stepped down at the organisation’s AGM on 14 February. Meanwhile IAAF Honorary Treasurer Richard Welland has been appointed the new Vice President. Terry, who became IAAF vice president in April 2018, has been a Member of the IAAF Council since 2016, and is managing director of CD Group. Richard Welland is the Managing Director of WAIGlobal, and will also assume presidency of IAAF in two years time, after Terry steps down at the end of his term. Terry said: “I feel that the past year has armed me with invaluable insight into the tireless activity of IAAF. Throughout my term as president I look forward to helping continue its work, and will give my all in promoting and securing the future of the independent aftermarket to the benefit of our members and the sector.” Welcome to Aftermarket’s new appointments section.
