MAY 2019 AFTERMARKET 65 EYEBROW www.aftermarketonline.net Office Manager role for IAAF’s Ann Silvester The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has promoted Ann Silvester to the role of Office Manager. Ann joined the Federation in 2000 as Trade Secretary. In her new role, among other duties she will be tasked with working on behalf of members to ensure that the rights of the independent aftermarket are protected under current UK and EU legislation and to assist in the development of new products and services to generate value for members. IAAF Chief Executive Wendy Williamson said: “Ann has been the organisational lynchpin since joining IAAF almost 20 years ago and in that time, she has developed a broad understanding of the independent automotive aftermarket and its policies. Ann will play a key role in ensuring we have an efficient, operational structure in place to continue to support both our members and IAAF as a whole.” Boost for UFI aftermarket team UFI Filters has appointed David Price as UFI Aftermarket UK and Ireland Sales Development Manager. David has more than 26 years’ experience in the automotive aftermarket, having worked as a Business Development Manager for several automotive equipment manufacturers. He will be responsible for developing business across both countries, with a particular focus on northern regions. Karl Ridings, UFI’s Aftermarket UK and Ireland Sales Manager, said: “David’s experience and background are a perfect fit for us as we enhance our position in this marketplace. His deep knowledge of the sector will add considerable extra strength to our team. The appointment comes as UFI Filters has expanded its base in the UK market including a dedicated office and a new warehouse that benefits from the services of its recently appointed supply chain partner, DB Schenker.
