Blitz Motor Factors Manager Peter Mileham said: "We knew we would be opening a new location when we placed the order for Autopart Online; it was the software's flexibility that made it so appealing." Autopart is available as a server or cloud-based solution. Blitz Motor Factors chose the hosted option. "Having on-site servers simply wouldn't have been financially viable when we knew we were setting up in Welwyn Garden City," explained Peter. "The cloud enables us to maintain a level of flexibility across our entire operation, while leaving us safe in the knowledge that MAM is responsible for our updates and maintenance." Commenting on the system’s ability to deal with stock control, Peter said: "This wasn't something our previous provider could offer. We need to be able to move stock around and keep track of items as they move between the two branches.” Autopart enables stock to be tracked automatically, from the goods received stage right through to dispatch. Analysis tools are also available within the software, enabling the Blitz Motor Factors team to recalculate minimum and maximum stock levels based on sales history and forecast demand. "The inter-branch transfer capabilities within Autopart are worth their weight in gold," added Peter.
