Great success Top Garage launched in 2018, and was a great success, with hundreds of garages entering the initial round before a winner emerged. 2019 was bigger and better, with multiple classes to enable more businesses to shine In all there were ere three winners in 2019, and their experiences will tell you how worthwhile taking part is. Declan McCormack Vehicle Repairs, based in Chippenham, Wiltshire won in the category for businesses with less than five staff members. When he won. the eponymous Declan said: “It is an amazing accolade to win Top Garage. I entered in 2018 and made it to the final, so to actually be a 2019 winner is even better. I found the whole process really educational too.” For the 6-10 staff members category, the winner was Cheltenham & Gloucester Autocentre. Commenting on their win, owner Martyn Langbridge said: “To actually win the award, for the team and the work they put in, was a tremendous achievement and a great reward in itself. Taking part in the finals, meeting the other contestants, many of whom we knew was great. Being able to bring the whole team to enjoy the Top Technician and Top Garage Awards Dinner was brilliant too.” In the 11-plus staff members group, the winner was a familiar name; Cedar Garage, the overall champions from the 2018 competition. Co-owner Kevin Pearce said: “It was brilliant to win Top Garage 2019. When we won in 2018, it was a massive accolade for our business, and it was a victory for everyone that works here. To win again was actually even better. It was a testament to how the team responded, and how we all strived to find new ways to improve.” Top Garage provided a great platform for these already exemplary businesses.
