E quip Auto 2019 was back last month for its 25th outing since its establishment in 1975. 1,200 exhibitors filled up Paris Expo Porte de Versailles between 15 and 19 October. While much of what was on display was aimed at the French market, as you would expect, there was a lot to see. Aftermarket was there to see what was new, and who was there. Major companies at the show included ACtronics, Bosch, ECOBAT Battery Technologies, Launch Europe, LIQUI MOLY, MAHLE Aftermarket, NGK, NOCO, NTN-SNR, Ring Automotive, Snap-on, TRICO, VARTA, WAI and YUASA. As with all such shows, there was a lot to see. Add in classic car displays and you have a full, fun and informative day. Among the items of interest was the Hella Gutmann Solutions' ADAS system, which Aftermarket covered extensively at the end of 2018 prior to its commercial launch. Commenting on HELLA's presence at the show, HGS Business Development Manager Frederic Ernis said: "Every two years, we have the chance to be here at Equip Auto, and every two years it is always a pleasure to welcome the mechanics. They usually see the product in a catalogue, but here they get the chance to see the really big tools, like the CSC tool, and have a live demonstration. This a great opportunity for us." Unique Aftermarket's next stop was Delphi Technologies. There was not far to travel, in that their stand was next door. The company was launching a new range of diagnostic tools and solutions. Additions included a modular solution for ADAS calibration, a diagnostic tablet and improved software functionality and coverage. Delphi Technologies’ new ADAS programme can be used in either dynamic calibration mode or with VM boards and equipment in the workshop.
