It is the UK’s largest provider of MOT training with MOT tester courses running every week at sites across the UK. This issue, we are highlighting its MOT Tester training for class 4 and 7 vehicles. Experienced technicians who would like to become a MOT tester can take this course to become qualified as a MOT tester, and will enable them to apply to the DVSA to become authorised. Participants will learn: Relevant acts and regulations Classes of vehicles Use of the MOT Testing Service (MTS) Test standards and procedures Inspection routine Documentation and security Refusal to conduct test Safe working practices Working relationships within test centre The course runs over four days, including a practical assessment, which can be taken either at one of the RMI academies or your own business premises. Eligibility criteria apply. You must have at least four years’ full time employment in the service and repair of class 4 and 7 vehicles, have a Level 3 automotive qualification or equivalent, a current and full UK driving licence, and have no criminal offences connected with the motor trade, violence or intimidation. National Automotive Recruitment Fair premiers at the Motor Show The British Motor Show will play host to the National Automotive Recruitment Fair on the opening day of the show, Thursday 20 August 2020 at Farnborough International. Seminars and sessions from automotive industry suppliers and vehicle manufacturers showcasing the opportunities that the automotive industry has to offer. The show will focus on attracting talent from schools, colleges and universities. A specific thread is also aimed at attracting more women into the industry. Exhibitors at The British Motor Show will be able to participate in the event for free.
