Sam will oversee marketing for all First Brand Group companies in Europe, which currently includes TRICO, Champion Wipers, and Airtex, as well investigating future development possibilities for other brands within the group. Sam, who has been at TRICO, for seven years, said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role within the company as we embark on another exciting period. In the seven years I’ve been at TRICO, I’ve been involved with various aspects of the business, including product management, marketing and sales responsibilities, and I’m looking forward to using this experience to help develop our group brand structure and grow sales for all brands within the group.” Exol CEO becomes new UKLA President Darren Frogson, CEO of Exol Lubricants, has been named as the new president of the United Kingdom Lubricants Association (UKLA). As President of UKLA, Darren will be will supporting members through Brexit and towards a net-zero economy. He will also work alongside the Union of the European Lubricants Association (UEIL). Commenting on his new role, Darren observed: “This is an important year for our sector and one that could shape the industry for many years to come. I look forward to working hard to maximise the opportunities that await.” He added: “It’s an exciting time as more lubricants than ever before can be made from sustainable sources, which is good news for the environment and our sector as a whole, and what we need to do now is spread this message far and wide. A lubricant by its very nature reduces friction and wear, which means we’re already making a significant contribution to energy conservation and sustainable applications, but now we need to highlight how we can provide a net-zero solution.” New Operations Director at PCL Dean Battersby has joined PCL as Operations Director, bringing over 22 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, procurement, logistics and product management. Dean was headhunted for the role following two years at the mechanical and pneumatic conveying systems company Schenck Process UK. He said: “There is massive opportunity across the board for new products and improving efficiency and delivering reliability to our customers, whilst continuing with the high levels of quality.” Finance Director Roz Shepherd added: “We are excited to have someone of Dean’s calibre join us on the board of directors and as part of the PCL family and wider team.”
