54 AFTERMARKET JUNE 2021 TRAINING www.aftermarketonline.net Upcoming training dates and news on courses TRAINING UPDATE The Schaeffler REPXPERT technical team used its recent online ‘Tea-break training’ sessions held at the end of April to raise awareness about the safety-critical nature of properly functioning steering and suspension systems. Schaeffler Technical Manager and REPXPERT Alistair Mason observed: “The poor quality of much of the country’s road network and an increasing use of speed humps and width restrictions, means that steering and suspension components are in the frontline, So, the importance of fitting OE quality replacements, and doing it correctly, can’t be overstated. “The FAG Steering and Suspension programme has been designed and manufactured by the Schaeffler chassis engineering team and provides workshops with quality products they can rely on, which include all the additional parts they need in just one box. This means they can carry out a right-first-time professional replacement that will ensure the safety of their customer’s vehicle and its occupants. “Steering and suspension components are safety critical parts, which is why our engineers have gone the extra mile to ensure that each item in the range matches, or in some instances, exceeds the standard of the OE fitment. For example, we use TPU boots (Thermoplastic Poly- Urethane) on virtually all our ball joints and track rod ends, which are much more durable than traditional rubber compound boots. In fact, every product in the range has been put through more than 555 hours of testing, so technicians can be assured that they meet the highest possible quality standards expected from an OE manufacturer such as Schaeffler.” For more information visit: www.repxpert.co.uk Bosch backing for MOT Annual Training as deadline loomed Looking to support MOT Testers and garage businesses, with the 30 April deadline fast approaching for MOT testers to have completed their Annual Training, Bosch recently ran its Online – MOT Tester CPD (Class 4 & 7) course at a very special rate of just £49 (exc.
