Ron’s career in the field of consumer protection has lasted more than four decades, including several senior leadership positions. He was awarded an OBE in the 2010 Queen’s birthday Honours List in recognition of his services to consumers and to business. Commenting on the appointment, Ron said: “After having been a member of the Board since the Ombudsman was founded, and Motor Codes prior to that, it was perhaps a natural progression to now lead the team of which I have long been part. I am excited to be embarking on this new chapter in my work with The Motor Ombudsman, and to help the organisation achieve its short and longer-term objectives.” Bill Fennell, Chief Ombudsman and Managing Director of The Motor Ombudsman, added: “I am very pleased that Ron accepted the role of Chair, as he brings unrivalled and relevant experience to our organisation, and has been a highly valued member of our Board for many years. It was a unanimous decision to appoint Ron to this position, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with him.” New Commercial Director at epyx Debbie Fox has been appointed as the new Commercial Director at automotive e-commerce provider epyx. She will be responsible for all commercial activities at epyx and across the 1link family of platforms in the UK and internationally. Her most recent role was as Chief Commercial Officer at Click Dealer, while in recent years she has also been General Manager at Athoris, Fleet Director at OEConnection, Head of sales at EMaC and Business Development Director at KeeResources. She has also held positions at JATO Dynamics, CAP Motor Research, Premier Finance, Inchcape Financial Services and Lombard Business Finance in a career spanning more than 30 years. Debbie said: “We’re clearly at a moment in time when nearly every part of the motor industry is facing a very high degree of uncertainty and change.
