He brings more than 20 years’ experience in journalism and in public relations having worked for media outlets in Ireland and the US. Since relocating to the UK in 2013, he was worked for Jaguar, FIAT, Alfa Romeo and, most recently Mitsubishi. Commenting on his new role, Conor observed: “I have a wonderful team of people to work with, there is so much in the pipeline and I get to indulge my interests in all things mechanical, from bikes to quarry trucks to hydrogen-powered Le Mans race cars.” Florian Pitzinger, Vice President Communications & Brands Europe North, added: “Conor and Michelin – I am sure this will be an excellent combination. With him, we have a truly skilled industry professional, that will contribute with his experience in mobility communication, but is also eager to go beyond tyre communication.” New BDM at Banner Banner has appointed Kevin Roberts as Business Development Manager with responsibility for the north of England and Scotland. Prior to joining Banner spent 11 years working across the sector at ECOBAT, CES UK and LKQ Euro Car Parts. Before that, he worked in the financial, life assurance and mortgage sector. Commenting on his new role, Kevin said: “I am delighted to get the opportunity to work for one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of original equipment batteries and within such an important sales territory.” Kevin will report to Country Manager Lee Quinney, who added: “The whole team at Banner is delighted to welcome Kevin into the fold. He has a proven track record in the automotive aftermarket and we are confident this will prove instrumental in strengthening Banner’s position across Scotland and the north, both of which are important strategic territories.” New Director for LKQ Collision and Coatings Justin Elliot has been promoted to the role of Director for LKQ’s Collision and Coatings division, a role in which he will lead the business across the whole of Europe. He had been Operations Director for the business since 2013. Justin’s promotion is the latest move in a Europe-wide programme of integration at LKQ. Commenting on his new role, he observed: “We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved over the last few years in the UK and Ireland, and I look forward to being a part of this exciting new chapter.” He added: “Strengthening the relationship between our UK and European businesses means that together with our customers, we’re in the strongest possible position to navigate the months and years to come. The UK business now has an even more robust supply chain, and access to more expertise than ever, that we will New-hire at PCL PCL has named Ben Kershaw as its new Technical Sales Manager. Previously, he has worked as a technical support engineer. In his new role, Ben will support all PCL customers across the whole portfolio, including TECALEMIT. He observed: “Over the years I have come into contact with many people in various industries who buy equipment from PCL and highly recommend it.” Export Business Development Manager Jonathan Robinson added: “His background in mechanical engineering means he has already been able to get hands-on with product building.”
