60 AFTERMARKET MARCH 2022 TRAINING www.aftermarketonline.net Upcoming training dates and news on courses TRAINING UPDATE DENSO e-learning platform powers into 2022 DENSO is looking to promote training and its e-learning platform well into 2022. DENSO Europe Pan European Strategic Marketing Manager Fatiha Laauich commented: “Education is a key part of our business ethos, which is why we make our comprehensive training offering available through multiple channels, with face-to-face training supplemented by our popular e-Learning platform. “The restrictions associated with the Coronavirus pandemic no doubt sped-up the development of our online training, but nothing replaces human contact as the best way to communicate and educate. It’s therefore important that DENSO aftermarket and its representatives are out in the field at events such as AutoInform LIVE. Here, they can meet technicians and present the big picture overview. “However, being able to supplement face-to-face training with online learning provides a great advantage. Technicians can tap into this resource when it fits with their work schedule. There is a wide range of material available online, which incorporates installation and testing instructions, IMI accredited modules, presentations, workshop-based movies and scheduled webinars.” To register for the DENSO e- Learning platform, visit: www.denso-technic.com/uk/ Welcome to Aftermarket’s training section. This includes every course, whether taken online or at one of the company’s training facilities. CPD is a compulsory condition for those on the IMI Professional Register. 30 credits must be accrued over a three-year period. This equates to around four days of training each year. Those attending a Delphi Technologies hybrid course will earn CPD credits for both the online pre- learning stage as well as the practical face-to-face course, and they can keep track of their credits through the Delphi Technologies Academy website, as well as instructions on how to upload them to the IMI MyCPD portal. In addition, Delphi Technologies’ e-learning platform has been updated with three new modules, each focusing on vehicle electrics and diagnostic procedures. Technical Services Manager at Delphi Technologies Aftermarket Phil Mitchell said: “By allocating IMI CPD credits to our courses, we can now deliver not just a skills boost to our delegates, but also independent recognition of their knowledge by an established industry body.” Meanwhile, Delphi Technologies has switched on a new online training course that looks at how car lighting is now often also plugged into ADAS systems. The new three-part course, accessible via the Delphi Technologies Academy e-learning platform, will enable those reaching the required level to download a certificate to show the course pass, as well as earning IMI CPD credits. The new course adds to the ADAS- focused service offering from Delphi Technologies, which includes training on its ADAS recalibration modular kit. Phil Mitchell continued: “Lighting has changed massively in the last 30 years, from simple sealed beam units right through to laser lights and ultimately those that are now increasingly integrated into ADAS functions. With more cars featuring some level of ADAS, such advanced lighting is only going to get more common, and we want to give independents and individuals the chance to be able to service it. Our latest course provides a fantastic understanding of what is involved.” For more information, visit: https://academy.delphiautoparts.com/ CPD credits earned with Delphi Technologies Academy
