All that was left was to install this ECU back into the vehicle and I can confirm this was a fix. The benefit of this process as opposed to attempting to program a used engine computer via a scan tool is that all the immobiliser data, software and programming counters were all automatically transferred, meaning this is now a plug-and-play unit.
