Aftermarket April 2022

44 AFTERMARKET APRIL 2022 STEERING AND SUSPENSION www.aftermarketonline.net 20th anniversary of its MEYLE-HD product line. MEYLE’s steering and suspension product expert said: “The popular line is known for its technically optimized products, keeping vehicles longer on the road. On the basis of the analysis of premature failures in OE parts, MEYLE-HD parts are developed in a multi-stage re-engineering process. For the steering and suspension category, MEYLE presents its newest parvenu – the MEYLE-HD rear axle bushing kit for various Volvo and Ford models. On their way to optimization, the products undergo an extensive re- engineering process.” MEYLE’s expert continued: “One of the most recent results of this re-engineering process is the MEYLE-HD rear axle bushing kit for numerous Volvo and Ford models. The kit, that launched in September 2021, includes all necessary materials for quick installation in the workshop. In doing so, the kit saves not only time but money and makes the daily workshop life more efficient. The very durable MEYLE-HD rear axle bushings have been specially developed by MEYLE engineers to reduce the stress in the rubber and thus enable a longer service life while maintaining driving comfort. This product is an enhancement to existing sets in the market and a reaction to reported problems with the durability of rear axle bushings. MEYLE-engineers came up with this improved version. As all MEYLE-HD-products, this particular kit is designed to make cars more wear-resistant and keep them as long as possible on the road. In doing so, MEYLE-HD products also contribute at great lengths to a more sustainable automotive future. “Keeping the durability and sustainability aspect of car parts in mind, MEYLE frequently expands its range of products in HD quality. In 2021, around 100 new products for steering and suspension were developed by MEYLE engineers. Currently, MEYLE is planning an additional 66 new HD articles to extend the current steering and suspension range.” For more information visit: www.meyle.com/en/passenger-cars/steering-and- suspension Wider strategy Comline is continuing its steering and suspension portfolio expansion, following the launch of its Your New Reality campaign in 2021, and is looking to achieve 35% growth during the year. Comline’s technical team also issue regular bulletins, and also recently released a poster that showed the intricate pieces of its stabiliser links. A spokesman for Comline commented: “The concept is to help technicians understand the anatomy of the parts they’re fitting and give them confidence. “Focusing on the latest technical poster, Comline has revealed that the lower wishbone bush bolts on the Land Rover Discovery III, IV and Range Rover Sport (2005-2012) often become corroded, making them difficult to remove. This makes lower wishbones (CCA1263L, CCA2263R, CCA1405L and CCA2405R) tough to replace. The bolts are usually destroyed when removed. “Comline now provides the answer with a fitting kit (CSK7000K), which comprises of all the necessary add-ons with the new wishbones – two camber bolts and camber washers, two washers, four nuts, one strut mounting bolt and one driveshaft nut – for a straightforward replacement.” Comline’s spokesman added: “The bulletin, along with the aforementioned information, is a segment of a wider strategy and campaign to highlight Comline’s steering and suspension prowess and is the perfect complement to the growing product range.” To download the poster, visit: https://bit.ly/3MQjtjc Significant At the same time, Delphi Technologies recently released 90 suspension and steering parts for a number of popular vehicles. The additions increase Delphi Technologies’ UK coverage to over 95% of the parc for both outer tie-rods and stabiliser links. Julian Goulding, Marketing Manager Northern Europe, Delphi Technologies, said: “We’re exceptionally pleased to introduce a significant number of key steering and suspension components in such a short timeframe. It underlines our commitment to the aftermarket, providing independent outlets with the parts they need to offer owners of even the very latest models a quality repair that Above: Power Steering Stop Leak additive from Lucas Right: New steering and suspension components from Delphi Technologies
