Commenting on Motul’s continued involvement, Motul UK and Ireland Head of Passenger Car Sales and Marketing Andy Wait said: “The Top Technician and Top Garage initiative champions the drive for excellence in the UK garage industry and this sits well with Motul’s ethos. We are delighted, therefore, to continue our support in 2022. “2021 saw a significant step-up for Motul in its UK aftermarket presence. Being a partner in the Top Technician and Top Garage schemes was one of our key aftermarket focal points, but it was very much a learning year for us. This year we are delighted to be back and we look to be more involved in the initiative as well as to make more extensive use of all of the opportunities that it offers.” Top Technician and Top Garage 2022 come to you in association with the Garage Equipment Association (GEA), the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF), the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and are sponsored by Snap-on, VARTA, Blue Print & febi bilstein, TechMan and Motul. MAY 20 2 AFTERMARKET 7 Bristol garage gears up for growth after “busiest year ever” Westerleigh Car Centre in Bristol is set to increase staffing levels as it gears up to manage workload in what has been its “busiest year ever.” After turnover at the garage doubled following a six-figure investment in new premises, owner Neil Skuse realised the online presence also needed updating. Since signing up specialist website creator Garage Services Online, the garage appears in around 75,000 Google results every month for specific garage services, equivalent to 10% of Bristol’s population. Of those 75,000, 90% were on page one of the search results. Neil said: “We’ve had our busiest year ever and a big factor in that is the business the website consistently brings in.” Jim Lang, founder at Garage Services Online, added: “We know that 70% of people would rather use an independent than a main dealer, but the problem they have is actually finding one. That’s why it’s imperative that garages are as easy to find online as they are in the street.” Follow us on Facebook @aftermarketmagazine Sponsored by:
