The seminar also covered the bedding in procedure, the use of chamfers, shims and slots to prevent noise and vibration from the pads, and problems that garages may experience if they are not fitting parts correctly. The session was delivered by TMD Friction’s Technical Sales Representative Stuart Incledon and Head of Technical Training Scott Irwin, who observed: “It’s essential that we deliver our training to not only the garages who fit our braking products, but also the sales teams who sell our braking products. We must ensure that the depth of technical knowledge we have here at TMD Friction is passed on to our network and the Mintex masterclass is one resource we have to help share this information.” Autosupplies Managing Director David Clarke added: “The Mintex Masterclass training was great and whole team will have benefitted enormously from it. They’re now well equipped to advise customers on braking and share Mintex’s quality message.” Following a final quiz, the successful participants received certificates.
