The UFI filter guarantees maximum water separation capacity from the diesel fuel, thanks to the deep filtration system and the principle of coalescence. The water separation capacity is further enhanced by an external hydrophobic net, which acts as a barrier for water particles, avoiding the risk of a return into the circuit.” Scheduled Meanwhile, looking at the importance of following filter replacement schedules, Borg & Beck is recommending that during a winter service, all filters should be replaced in line with manufacturer recommendations, especially the cabin filter. By the time winter arrives, it is highly likely that the cabin filter will need replacing, if it has not already been changed earlier in the year. Other engine components could also suffer as a result of low-quality filtration, resulting in earlier replacement of expensive parts.“ The move towards alternative drivetrains has also made an impact: “Hybrid and electric vehicles have changed the focus of where and what type of filtration is required.
