NEWS 6 AFTERMARKET NOVEMBER 2022 www.aftermarketonline.net GS Yuasa has joined forces with Tunnock’s for the new Treat Yourself To a Tunnock’s campaign, whereby mechanics get a free pack of Tunnock’s Snowballs with their battery purchases over winter, as well as free entry into a prize draw. With almost a half a million of the sweets in place for the programme, each promotional pack contains eight Snowballs as well as a unique code for the competition. Prizes up for grabs include a smart watch, a Gordon Shedden experience at Knockhill racing circuit and three GS Yuasa Winter Workshop Kits. To enter, mechanics just need to complete the entry form on the GS Yuasa website. GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK General Sales and Marketing Manager Jon Pritchard said: “We know this is an incredibly busy time for workshops, in fact, more batteries fail in winter than at any other time of year. That’s why our latest promotion encourages vehicle technicians to take a well-earned break and treat themselves to a Tunnock’s.” GS Yuasa’s Tunnock’s promotion will run to the end of February, while stocks last. GS Yuasa team up with Tunnock’s Mr. Sparky’s London Marathon: As seen on TV Not only did NGK’s Mr Sparky take part in the 2022 TCS London Marathon to help raise £8,000 for the Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) in front of thousands of spectators, but he also managed to bag a massive television audience too. The iconic character’s participation was highlighted as part of the BBC coverage when his exploits were discussed on-screen by commentators Steve Cram and Paula Radcliffe. His training partner was NGK Spark Plugs (UK) National Field Sales Manager Stuart Bayne, who observed: “He found out later that the commentators were talking about him during the race with Paula Radcliffe pointing out to Steve Cram that he was a spark plug not a Mr. Man!” If you would like to show your support for Mr. Sparky and the DSA please visit the dedicated fund raising page: https://tcslondonmarathon.en thuse.com/pf/stuart-bayne MAM Software launches GMS solution in Ireland MAM Software recently used the Auto Trade Expo in Dublin, held 15-16 October, as a platform for the launch of Autowork Online in Ireland.
