This is a four-day course which includes an online examination, plus a practical assessment which can be completed either at the RMI Academy or at a business premises. Once the course has been completed, DVSA VT8 demonstration tests can also be conducted at an academy if required. Participants will learn: Relevant acts and regulations Classes of vehicles Tools for the job Use of the testing manual and MOT Testing Service (MTS) Test standards and procedures Inspection routine Documentation and security Refusal to conduct test Safe working practices Eligibility criteria apply. If a technician does not have the relevant Level 3 or equivalent qualification required to take this course, Vehicle Technician Accredited Assessment (VTAA) courses are available.
