He joined from containers and shipping specialist Maersk, where from 1999 to 2022 he worked his way up from trainee to Managing Director of the Container Sales division. From 2020 to 2022, he was also Chief Business Developer and Head of Commerce at pump manufacturer Grundfos. Commenting on his new role, Rune said: “Intensifying and extending the close ties with our customers is the main focus area for me, and I look forward to pursuing this ambition with the many great people in BORG Automotive.” Commercial Director Ivan Mikkelsen added: “I very much look forward to the cooperation with Rune and to his initiatives. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in all sales-related topics and a proven expert in digital strategies, but he also fits perfectly with our team and values.” ETB pumps up with new appointments ETB Autocentres has welcomed Jason Clarke as Wholesale Sales Director, as part of an overall shake-up that has included other new appointments. Jason brings decades of industry experience with him, following roles at Cooper Avon, United Tyres, Malvern Tyres and King David Tyres. For him, joining ETB is a natural progression: “I’ve enjoyed 25 years in the trade now and I’ve built up a strong contacts book over that time. Like the sports I loved to compete in, I’ll be putting blood, sweat and tears into my role at ETB and will be confident of winning more often than not over the coming weeks and months.” Meanwhile, ETB has also promoted Dave Isles to Operations Director, overseeing all ETB wholesale warehouses. Sales Manager Ashley Harford will now run the sales team from the company’s Blackpole office.
