Mounting and testing times for the SNK blocks are cut by up to 90% by connecting subassemblies with pluggable blocks and harnesses. The blocks enable customised on-site configuration and eliminate the need to stock a large range of preconfigured systems. The terminal blocks offer spring and screw clamp connections and can accommodate cables from 0.2–6mm 2 . Instead of wiring one terminal at a time, cables can be combined into harnesses equipped with plugs, resulting in time and cost savings of up to 90%. It is easy to create female plug assemblies from 2–15 poles without tooling and using only two plug variants, reducing plug stocks by up to 30%. An error-free coding system prevents plugs from being inserted into the wrong circuits: simply put a coding peg in one terminal block and cutting the pin on the plug opposite. A locking device can be added to prevent breaks in connection if wires are pulled accidentally. An automatic locking function can lock two to eight plugs safely and simultaneously. The terminal blocks are particularly suitable for use in harsh conditions, and have passed vibration, shock and temperature tests. The camera offers an optional six-degree lens that allows users to capture accurate temperature measurements on small targets over long distances.
