Linda - Automated Temperature Monitoring Fortress has over 60 years experience in protecting people from dangerous machinery. In these uncertain times other measures are being taken in order to keep people safe at work. As manual temperature checks have started to take place, we decided to adapt our technology to not only automate this process but to ensure those taking the temperature readings are safe and are not unduly exposed to illness. We want to saves lives by providing the best safety solutions so we have therefore designed Linda. Our inspiration for the name is based on Linda Richards who in 1873 created a system for keeping individual patient records, later adopted across the United States. Linda integrates a temperature reader with existing automation technology and existing site RFID badges to provide access only when a normal forehead temperature is confirmed. The temperature of each employee is recorded at the start of the day with local indication of an acceptable or over temperature reading displayed to personnel immediately via lamp indicators. A robust and low labour procedure to temperature taking is enforced by controlling access through doors and turnstiles whilst a clear database record of temperatures is saved on the Fortress supplied IPC.
