58 n NEW PRODUCTS July/August 2022 www.drivesncontrols.com Panduit says that a new system that checks that control cabinets are voltage-free before access is much faster than alternatives such as using portable test instruments. With a push of a button, the VeriSafe 2.0 system can test the safety of both single- and three-phase applications up to 1kV AC or DC. The failsafe design uses active indicators for plant status and complies with SIL 3 (IEC 61508- 1) safety functions. It is suitable for 480/600V Cat IV applications including frequency converters and remote motor disconnect switches. The isolation module can be integrated into control systems via redundant outputs. A network module for real-time diagnostics and performance reports is available, allowing test results to be recorded with time stamps or data logs. The module can also be used for remote troubleshooting, monitoring the status of sensor lines as well as battery life. VeriSafe 2.0 can be integrated into Scada systems via EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP or an integrated Web server. Panduit 0208 601 7200 www.panduit.com Emerson has launched a range of precision rod-style electric cylinders offering a choice of three screw technologies. This allows users to configure the actuators to meet their precise application requirements with high repeatability, rather than settle for approximations. The Aventics SPRA (series servo profile advanced) actuators can be supplied with precision ballscrews, which provide good durability and accuracy for applications that need optimal quality or throughput, or with rollerscrews for precision, speed and heavy loads, or with cost- effective leadscrews. The actuators, which comply with ISO- 15552, come in four sizes and offer multiple mounting options. Online tools allow users to size and customise the actuators, with no software installation or registration needed. Downloadable CAD files provide all of the elements of the configured actuators, including accessories, mounting options and motor adapters. Emerson Automation Solutions 00 49 511 2136 www.emerson.com Leuze has introduced an IP camera that monitors hidden areas on conveyor lines and stacker cranes and records the 60 seconds before a fault in full HD, allowing operators to trace back events and rectify faults quickly and efficiently. The LCAM 308 IP camera also offers a snapshot mode, allowing individual images – such as the contents of a box – to be captured and used during order picking to document whether the goods in the box were complete Recordings or live streams can be transmitted using standard browsers or streaming tools. No extra software is needed. Operators do not have to deal with a flood of data – the camera has a ring memory and saves only the period before and after an event. The IP65-protected camera has a robust metal housing. Dust cannot get inside, and the device is water-jet proof. Dovetails, threaded holes and a wide range of mounting accessories allow installation anywhere. Leuze Electronic 01480 408500 www.leuze.com/en-uk Yaskawa has launched a series of robots, available on short lead times, that offer a low carbon footprint and can be tailored to individual needs. The Signature range, which has a distinctive black design, includes the GP Series covering payloads from 7–180kg and reaches from 927–2,702mm. The robots offer high speeds, acceleration and energy efficiency in a compact footprint. They work with Yaskawa’s YRC1000 controller which includes a fast multitasking CPU, an advanced operating system and high-speed servo technology, said to provide good path performance and advanced safety functions. Motoman Yaskawa 0330 678 1990 www.yaskawa.co.uk Festo has introduced a cantilever electromechanical drive that combines high precision with good load- bearing capacity and rigidity, making it ideal for small parts manufacturing. The ELGT drive is based on a precision spindle drive with the load supported by twin bearing guides that ensure rigidity and repeatable positioning accuracy, even under heavy loads. The axes are available in three widths (90, 120 and 160mm) making them suitable for 2D or 3D cantilever systems. The smallest axes comes with an extra-wide single guide, while the two larger sizes have twin guides. The largest axis can carry loads of up to 600kg at speeds of up to 1m/s and accelerations of up to 15m/s 2 . Stroke lengths are from 50–1,500mm in 50mm increments. There are three mounting options: direct screw connections with precisely machined and threaded bases; adjustable slot nuts that can be slid along the profile body; and brackets for mounting from the side. The drives can be supplied with or without motors. Kits are available for most motor brands, as well as mountings for a variety of sensors. Free sizing software makes selection quick and easy.
