Called EcoStruxure Plant Lean Management, the software provides a collaborative interface that digitises and optimises SIM meeting cycles at one or more sites. It collects the relevant IT and OT data automatically to generate KPIs on productivity, service levels, quality, safety, and sustainability, with real-time access to onsite or remote data. Users can visualise issues in real time and track preventative and corrective actions until they are resolved. The open platform, which can be implemented on any hardware, integrates with Aveva’s Data Hub, which aggregates and stores vast quantities of real-time data generated by IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) devices. This allows faster digital transformation by removing the need for proof-of-concepts. Schneider says that EcoStruxure Plant Lean Management builds on technology already used by more than 70,000 operators and in many of its own smart factories, where it has been shown to: n improve operational eŽciency by up to 5%; n drive continuous improvement with 33% reductions in shift handover activities; n help to resolve issues faster; n improve safety; and n accelerate digital transformation using an open, scalable and cybersecure IIoT platform. “Digital transformation is not just a technological challenge, it requires a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement,” says Ali Haj Fraj, senior vice-president in Schneider’s Digital Factory Line business. “EcoStruxure Plant Lean Management puts plant and supply chain information in the hands of workers, so they can make the best decisions in real time and boost productivity.” “This new o™er demonstrates what is possible with collaboration,” adds Harpreet Gulati, Aveva’s senior vice-president for planning, simulation and optimisation. “Our software manages shop€oor teams, machines, and processes, dispatching work and collecting data. EcoStruxure Plant Lean Management layers on improvements, driving manufacturing performance, powering faster issue escalation, decision-making, and problem-solving.” www.se.com Schneider’s EcoStruxure Plant Lean Management system is intended to empower shop oor workers and improve site performance
