The news comes at an exciting time for the company; just last month the firm announced that it had been shortlisted for two National Technology Awards including Best Tech Place to Work and Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year. The addition of this month’s new starters means that 18 new members of staff have been employed at the multi-award-winning company in 2019 so far. Among the new starters are Steve Hilton, Haider Alzein, Alan Essom and Annie Bey who have been appointed to help strengthen the development and implementation of the OrderWise Warehouse Robotics Technology. David Hallam, managing director at OrderWise, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming even more local talent to our ever-expanding team. We’ve invested over £2 million into robotics technology which is due to launch later this year – we’ve boosted our staff numbers to keep up with demand and are proud that 40% of our new starters are electronic engineers or trained robotic specialists.” Meanwhile Andrew Brewer has joined as accounts software advisor and Tony Gittins, Chris Workman and Katie Ball have all joined the team as software trainers. Gareth Arbourne has joined the company as a web developer along with Tim Discombe who has taken up the post of quality assurance specialist. Hallam added: “We’re pleased that our robotics technology is generating more jobs locally in Lincolnshire – all of our new employees are welcome additions to what is an extremely busy, yet exciting time for the company.” OrderWise welcomes ten new faces and boosts robotics team New sales and technical appointments at HES Hydraulic Equipment Supermarkets (HES) has appointed a number of new faces within its sales and technical teams across the country. Kerry Rodway has joined the Gloucester sales team, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge of filtration, bellhousings and couplings. While this is a product range that is already sold extensively at HES, now under Rodway’s guidance, it will become a core product range that HES will provide expert technical advice on. Mark Willis joins the external sales team, based from the Birmingham branch and is a valuable addition to the technical team across the country. Willis has worked for several large hydraulic manufacturers and has extensive knowledge of applications, further developing the expertise available at HES. HES has also appointed Nick Thomas into a newly created role of hose and fittings product specialist. With a strong background in hose and fittings, Thomas will be strengthening the knowledge, product line and technical abilities of all four branches of HES in Gloucester, Birmingham, Durham and Leeds. EnerMech has appointed Emmanuelle Marshall as Group HSE director. She will be responsible for global health, safety and environment at the Aberdeen-headquartered mechanical and electrical services specialist. Previously she was BP lead for the multi-national’s global HSE Learning and Development capability and over an 18-year period at Schlumberger she fulfilled a number of senior roles in HSE, technology and learning in the USA, Europe and Africa. EnerMech chief executive officer, Doug Duguid, said the appointment underlines the company’s commitment to delivery of the most stringent HSE standards across its 40 global locations. Duguid said: “Emmanuelle will work closely with our HSE teams across our regions to maintain our focus on the health and safety of our workforce, improve on our safety practices and to ensure consistency across the group. This appointment demonstrates our long-term commitment to our HSE delivery as we continue to invest and to grow our business across all of our markets globally.” Emmanuelle Marshall added: “I was impressed by the EnerMech mindset that no business objective comes ahead of HSE and that health and safety is treated as absolutely critical to the future success of the business.
