SPOTLIGHT ROTARY POWER has announced it has opened a North American service centre in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Located across 8,500 sq. ft., the new facility will perform service and conversions on all Rotary Power hydraulic motors and chemical metering pumps. Doug Jensen, US sales director at Rotary Power, said: “Our goal is to be able to support our customers with world class service before and after the sale. The investment we’re making in this facility will allow us to meet that goal in an effective, efficient manner.” Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Rotary Power manufactures hydraulic motors and pumps in its factory located in the North East of England. The company moved into its current location six years ago as part of a substantial investment, which included the acquisition of new machinery to further develop its range of heavy duty motors. Neil Gray, CEO at Rotary Power, said: “We recognise the importance of investing in our facilities and providing full servicing capabilities to our American customers. This facility will be able to support our full product range, enabling rapid turnaround to our customer’s needs.” This facility will increase Rotary Power’s service footprint, which currently includes service facilities in Aachen, Germany; and South Shields, UK. These facilities complement an already established global sales and service distributor network. w | www.rotarypower.com The AMO M10 is a new low cost industrial pressure transmitter designed for general purpose pressure measurement. BELL FLOW SYSTEMS says this sensor is rugged and durable, providing accurate measurement even under harsh conditions, available in gauge, absolute and sealed gauge versions and the MPM489 model is the ATEX approved version certified to ATEX Exia IIC T4 Ga . The Diaphragm is the sensing element in these pressure sensors which is comprised of multiple layers including a silicone substrate. The strain on which is determined using a diffused resistor network. Monocrystalline silicone is the low-cost material used in the manufacturing of these semiconductor based sensors. t | 01280 817304 e | mail@bellflowsystems.co.uk w | www.bellflowsystems.co.uk HAZARDOUS AREA PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS Rope and sling specialist, RSS, has announced it will distribute JD Neuhaus’s (JDN) new range of Mini Next Gen air hoists, as the new line is put to market. RSS, a supplier of lifting and rigging equipment, has secured a partnership with JDN UK, which offers the full range of pneumatic and hydraulic hoists, crane systems, and components, manufactured at its headquarters in Germany, principally for use in extreme environments. RSS says it will initially stock the Mini at two of its six UK facilities in Pyle, Wales and Grangemouth, Scotland. RSS will offer additional JDN products, including trolleys and the existing Profi air hoist range. t | 01656 740074 e | steve@rssgroup.co.uk w | www.ropeandsling.co.uk AIR HOIST PARTNERSHIP Piusi’s new EX100 and EX140 pumps with ATEX and UL certification, were reportedly developed to meet the specific requirements of various fuel transfer markets and the maximum safety has been applied to these pumps when dealing with potentially explosive atmospheres or flammable fluids. The company says both the EX100 and EX140 are sturdy and versatile, mainly developed for the heavy duty transfer of kerosene, petrol and diesel fuel and they are simple to use, as well as compact and versatile, which means they are adaptable. This adaptability means the pumps can be used for their chosen applications in most working conditions. With its Interpump and Pratissoli brands the group covers performances from 3 to 330 kW, 80 to 1500 Bar and 1 to 900 Lpm. Its range of ATEX Group II certified pumps is being extended to cover a wide variety of support processes for the oil & gas industry. DUAL PUMPS says it has been the UK distributor for Interpump pumps since 1983 and is one of Interpump’s biggest customers. Dual Pumps carries over £3 million of stock with a huge array of products and spare parts ready for same day dispatch from its Leicestershire warehousing and production facilities. w | www.dualpumps.co.uk ATEX CERTIFIED HIGH PRESSURE PUMPS With energy conservation being a hot topic, Forteq UK says it has been working closely with the Carbon Trust to access grant funding to upgrade its existing compressor system. THORITE, a UK distributor of compressed air products and systems, says this is all familiar territory as energy efficiency is taken increasingly seriously by senior managers. Additionally, energy efficiency is the main reason for companies gaining Carbon Trust accreditation and in the case of Forteq UK, they received a capital contribution via the Carbon Trust Green Business Fund scheme to support them in becoming more energy efficient, with Thorite being in a position to supply and install on this project as a Carbon Trust Accredited supplier. t | 0800 034 5850 w | www.thorite.co.uk HELP FROM THE CARBON TRUST Thanks to their unique, seal-less design, Hydra-Cell pumps are able to operate at exceptionally high efficiency levels, claims WANNER INTERNATIONAL… And higher efficiency translates directly to ‘lower energy costs’. The Hydra-Cell pump drive mechanism is submerged in a reservoir of oil, which keeps it permanently lubricated and allows power to be transmitted through the drive train with minimal frictional losses. With no dynamic seals in the pumped liquid to further consume energy, industry leading pumping efficiencies as high as 85% minimise Hydra-Cell’s power requirements. This compares with around 45-50% pumping efficiency for a typical multi-stage centrifugal pump and, as a result, Hydra-Cell pumps can frequently be fitted with smaller motors. t | 01252 816847 e | Brenda@wannerint.com w | www.hydra-cell.co.uk PUMPS FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY NORTH AMERICAN SERVICE CENTRE OPENED
