HYDRAULICS New Piusi high-flow ATEX EX100/140 pumps Piusi’s new EX100 and EX140 pumps with ATEX and UL certification, were developed to meet the specific requirements of various fuel transfer markets. The maximum safety has been applied to these pumps when dealing with potentially explosive atmospheres or flammable fluids. Both the EX100 and EX140 are sturdy and versatile, mainly developed for the heavy-duty transfer of kerosene, petrol and diesel fuel. They are simple to use, as well as compact and versatile, which means they are adaptable. This adaptability means the pumps can be used for their chosen applications in most working conditions. High and constant flow rates These Piusi pumps offer high and constant flow rates, even in complicated delivery systems. They are high performing pumps that can work without interruption because of their capability to operate continuously. Piusi developed the EX100 and EX140 for heavy duty work such as large commercial vehicle fleets that need to dispense fuels quickly and often. The Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation will feature the P1 M Series mobile open circuit medium pressure axial piston pump during the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) trade show at Kentucky Exposition Centre, Louisville, KY from 1 to 3 October. The P1 M Series was developed specifically with the mobile equipment manufacturer in mind. P1M delivers high speed, efficiency, reduction in costs, and extends pump life in a robust, compact envelope. Its compact size enables fit between the transmission and chassis making it easier to install in tight spaces. Optimised port plate design The P1 M features an optimised port plate design, which increases speeds and improves durability, standard dual shaft seals for wet PTO mounting, and extensive, modular control options, which enable complete circuit customisation. Its nine- piston design also reduces pressure ripples. The P1 M product family offers two standard displacement (cc) options: 45 & 54, rated at 280 bar and 250 bar continuous pressure respectively. The P1 M has standard SAE mounting flanges and shafts, as well as versatile port block options (end port, side port and side port with thru drive). The thru drive version will allow for full torque stackable pumps to decrease the overall space claim required to operate multiple functions. The P1 M Series can be further optimised by combining it with the Electronic Displacement Control (EDC) that improves machine handling and productivity by supplying the exact amount of power the exact moment it is needed. EDC helps prevent engine stalling and reduces fuel consumption by allowing more effective engine power management. Every two years, ICUEE, the utility industry trade show, brings together 28+ acres of indoor and outdoor exhibits and more than 18,000 utility professionals. www.parker.com 30 HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS September 2019 www.hpmag.co.uk The ATEX certification ensures that these pumps are compliant with the current principles of safety to prevent explosions inside or outside the pump. They can be used in ATEX zoned environments along with the other approved kit items, such as the EX nozzles and nozzle connections, flow meters, and suitable fuel management systems. www.bellflowsystems.co.uk Parker’s P1 M Series mobile open circuit medium pressure axial piston pump features at ICUEE EX100.
