Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has appointed a new account manager for the South West of England and South Wales region. Jon Roberts strengthens Bürkert’s customer service network and will work directly with OEMs, distributors and end users to support applications across the process and measurement control portfolio. The appointment will reinforce operational support for Bürkert’s customers across all process industries in the region. Roberts brings over 17 years’ account management experience across public and private sector projects to the role, which has a strong emphasis on customer care. The recruitment means improved business support to resolve customer challenges, and Jon will specify and advise on applications across the process industry. “With 20 years’ customer-facing experience, I bring a client’s view to Bürkert’s service delivery,” says Roberts. “My focus will be on our customers’ challenges and the most effective approaches they need to take in order to improve efficiency, uptime and gain increased value. Taking on a new role for the company, Carson will work on developing new products, opening up previously untapped markets, and promoting MP Filtri’s range of Tailored Engineering Design solutions. Carson brings a wealth of technical sales and product knowledge after a career spanning more than 30 years with some of the UK’s most successful engineering and technology firms. With a strong focus on the European sector, his role will see him be supporting the sales initiatives of MP Filtri’s UK sales team as well as its branch partners in the key markets of Germany, France, Italy and Scandinavia. Carson will also be developing full training support programmes for customers and offering advanced technical guidance on bespoke customer requirements and builds. Atkinson’s new role gives him responsibility for managing ATAM’s existing customer base and developing new business across the UK, Ireland and northern Europe region, including Benelux and Scandinavia. Starting his career as an Industrial Electrician with Nestle, Atkinson has since accrued more than 30 years’ industry experience across a variety of electronics and automation roles. Included in Atkinson’s list of vocational qualifications are an ONC in Electric & Electronic Engineering and City & Guilds in both Electrics for Electricians and Electrical Installation. Atkinson said of his new role: “I’m really looking forward to getting out on the road in support of ATAM’s existing customers, whilst also helping it to reach its potential by expanding its customer base. My background experience means that I can also assist customers in their project work by advising on the most effective solutions and product usage to meet their particular requirements.” Away from work, Manchester-based Atkinson enjoys cars, gardening, cookery and travel.
