A long-standing member of Camozzi Automation’s internal sales team is taking up a new role in the company’s technical department, due to the knowledge he has acquired during 10 years with the company. Former internal sales co-ordinator Nick Brown has become assistant technical manager with the Midlands-based firm and is looking forward to getting more involved in the end use of Camozzi’s products. Brown comments: “I started out in the stores picking and packing, before moving into internal sales and along the way have acquired a comprehensive knowledge of our products and their potential uses, so I am able to offer practical advice on applications.” “I am really looking forward to having in depth involvement of whole systems and the role our products play within them. Rather than just dealing with individual component orders, I will now be involved in whole system development and helping customers select the most efficient combination of products to meet their specific need. Sheffield-based pneumatics expert PCL is driving forward its partnership strategy for 2021 with the appointment of another new professional to its sales team as part of a restructuring of territories. Chesterfield-based Laura Briggs joins PCL from construction industry giant, Hilti, where she gained a proven track record in building strong customer relationships, exceeding targets through solutions-based selling of their cutting-edge technology. Briggs’ in-depth experience made her the ideal candidate for her role at PCL, where she will be responsible for building existing relationships and developing new business for the PCL and Tecalemit brands in the North of England, along the M62 corridor. She comments: “I have been brought in to add value on the solutions side of the business. My mission is to really get to know the businesses PCL deals with and what makes them tick, looking at their strengths and weaknesses to work diligently with them as a partner, not just a supplier.” Embarking on a new role during these difficult times amid the pandemic is a challenge, but it is one Briggs is embracing even though the lockdown is preventing customer visits. Until restrictions lift, she is immersing herself in the familiarisation of PCL’s products and company values to ensure she is well-equipped to provide strategic advice, so that customers feel supported and valued long-term through avenues such as Partner+.
