FLUID POWER & SYSTEMS 2022 AND AIR-TECH 2022 PREVIEW 40 HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS January/February 2022 www.hpmag.co.uk improve the performance and increase the durability of its customers’ products. Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to learn more about Ashton Group’s enhanced stock management capabilities. With new vehicles added to the company’s fleet and an expanded delivery team since the last Fluid Power & Systems Exhibition, Ashton Group’s is looking forward to demonstrating its commitment to always providing quality products and timely delivery. Stand G60 Atam (UK) Ltd Atam (UK) Ltd is a leading supplier of encapsulated coils and industrial connectors. Steve Morecroft, sales director for UK, Benelux and Scandinavia, comments: “Many visitors to the show may not have heard of Atam but many of them will have used our products without even realising it. This is because in many cases Atam products are supplied with end-user branding and part-numbers.” During Fluid Power & Systems 2022, Atam will promote a selection of valve connectors, M8 & M12 connectors, cylinder sensors, pressure switches, encapsulated coils and operators. Although Atam offers a full range of off- the-shelf components suitable for a variety of field applications, during the show the company will also be keen to let visitors know about how Atam can support customers with fully customised solutions. This includes solutions that are either from scratch or a modification to an existing component, to meet even the most unusual of requirements. Stand D37 Bosch Rexroth Bosch Rexroth will be showcasing its range of connected hydraulics at the show. The company comments that due to integrated intelligence and connectivity, connected hydraulics are on a par with electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems when it comes to digitalisation, Industry 4.0, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the Factory of the Future. Bosch Rexroth’s range of hydraulic components, sensors, intelligence and communications work together seamlessly, and the products are simple to incorporate within machinery and control systems. From a machine builder’s perspective, the main benefits of connected hydraulics stem from reduced design time and faster installation and commissioning. Given the high price of engineering time, connected hydraulics quickly pay for themselves! Furthermore, machine builders offering their customers connected hydraulics have a competitive advantage over those with ‘dumb’ hydraulics. For end users, connected hydraulics maximise productivity and profitability through shorter response times, higher switching speeds and faster flow rates. Where frequent product changeovers are required, these can be achieved through software rather than manually. Companies also benefit from higher energy efficiency, which results in cost savings and enhanced sustainability credentials. In addition, oil volumes (including spent oil) can be reduced. Bosch Rexroth states that industrial hydraulics have changed enormously over the past five years, with connected hydraulics adding real value for machine builders and end users. The company is already looking forward to working with its customers and making more use of technologies such as predictive and preventive maintenance, onboard artificial intelligence and self-optimisation. Stand G80 British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) – Distributor Zone The British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) represents and supports businesses in the hydraulic, pneumatic and motion control industries. With some 250 distributors and manufacturers in membership, the BFPA is the only full- service UK trade association for all companies involved or associated with the fluid power industry. Offering a range of services to both members and other industry stakeholders, the BFPA provides a sector-platform from which manufacturers, distributors, OEMs, end users and all associated parties can network and promote the best interests of their organisations. Benefits provided to members include training, standards research, industry trend updates, Government lobbying and networking. The Association’s Distributor Zone at Fluid Power & Systems 2022 will be a focus for distributor members, including Approved Hydraulics, Hopespare and Magnet Schultz who will be on hand to promote their products and services. Stands G9-G15 The British Valve & Actuator Association (BVAA) The British Valve & Actuator Association (BVAA) will be exhibiting at Fluid Power & Systems with the aim of introducing visitors to the Association’s many members comprising suppliers, users and customers of the fluid power industry and its products. The BVAA will also be advising visitors of the many products and services available from membership, as well as being on hand to explain the myriad benefits available from a dynamic association that can network, connect and co-operate at all levels. Industrial process valves and their application can be highly complex, so the BVAA will also be advising on the wide range of technical courses available from the Association, including a new short course on UKCA Marking, as well connecting enquirers with sources of additional technical expertise. Stand D12 C.matic SpA C.matic SpA is an Italian company, quality certified according to ISO 9001: 2000 since 1994 and boasting one of the largest and most comprehensive pneumatic push-in fittings programmes in brass nickel plated, stainless steel AISI 316 and acetal resin.
