PNEUMATICS Camozzi Automation Ltd. has cut lead times for the newest, technically advanced valve island solutions. It’s doing this by extending UK assembly services to include the Series D, Size 2, multipole configurations. Les Brogden, Camozzi Automation Ltd. head of UK sales, says: “We recognise the impact extended or unpredictable lead times can have on design engineers. This is why we are now stocking the specific components in the UK for rapid delivery.” Real-time data collection and processing Camozzi Automation Ltd.’s Series D comes in 4 different sizes. Size 2 is intended for applications with compact dimensions and high flow rates. Besides being a control solution, the Series D also collects and processes data in real time. The processing occurs within the device using Camozzi’s CoilVision technology. After processing, a remote user interface displays a colour-coded warning to indicate when a component is worn and needs replacing. This predictive and preventative measure ensures users can replace the component before it breaks, to prevent costly machine downtime. The Camozzi UK assembly service enables design engineers to plan their projects with confidence. The extension of their service removes a variety of variables affecting lead times, including any delays due to international shipping. The Floatmatic is a coupling to be mounted directly on the cylinder, which then enables it to eliminate all side loads that may occur in the cylinder from the actuated part. Main driver Side loads, which are one of the top reasons for cylinder breakdown, were the main driver for developing the floating joint. The Floatmatic consists of a machined housing, which houses a threaded bolt sliding on two low friction discs. This enables the bolt to slide inside the housing, thereby compensating for a misalignment between the cylinder and its attached part. The special design of the Floatmatic offers a large degree of freedom to the cylinder. It comes in sizes from M4 to M27 to fit all standard cylinders and is sold directly through Floatmatic, which is owned by the inventor. www.floatmaticonline.com Camozzi extends UK assembly service Free floating joint for linear actuators 32 HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS July/August 2022 www.hpmag.co.uk Camozzi Series D Size 2 valve island.
