Delta, a manufacturer of high- performance motion controllers was incorporated in June 1982. The 30,000sq. ft facility in Great Yarmouth will be the home to the business’s standalone technology and innovation team responsible for STR’s research and development of its technical solutions and products. The purpose-built facility features state-of-the-art engineering and product development suites, mechanical and electronic assembly and testing areas supported by the recruitment of 19 new employees bringing the Great Yarmouth headcount to 53. Further plans STR reports rapid growth during 2022 following the earlier announcement of investment from Baird Capital to support the firm’s progress, with further plans to expand and strengthen its capabilities. STR chief operating officer, Scott Johnstone, says: “The launch of the new technology and innovation centre of excellence is a fantastic addition to the STR group offering. Through combining state of the art facilities with our experienced team and in-house technologies we will be better positioned to support our customers. Delta Motion represents a reinforcement of Delta’s ongoing focus on the industrial motion control market. Delta has long used the website address deltamotion.com , so the refreshed logo further promotes consistency for new and existing customers. The legal business name will remain Delta Computer Systems, Inc. for the foreseeable future, although Nylund states the plan is to eventually change the company’s name to Delta Motion, Inc. The new logo will be prominently used in Delta’s marketing moving forward.
