Zeus Hydratech, a leading component, and hydraulic power unit manufacturer has appointed two new team members to work within its UK manufacturing facility. Jon Else, Lead Hydraulic Engineer will be responsible for design and development within the Zeus Hydraulic power unit division. Jon will work closely with the sales team to develop a series of HPU’s for a broad range of applications. Commenting on his appointment, Managing Director, Oliver Starr, said: “Jon’s considerable hydraulic system design experience belies his youth which, when coupled with his ability to produce beautifully engineered solutions made him the natural candidate for this role within the Zeus Team.” In addition, Rhys Webb was also recently appointed as a key member of their internal sales team. Rhys will be responsible for sourcing components and preparing detailed proposals to ensure our customers receive the very best technical solutions. Oliver Starr also highlighted Rhys Webb’s “fantastic customer service skills and a broad knowledge of both hydraulic hose and fittings. His ability to listen and understand customer requirements will undoubtedly see him flourish in this job role”. Kawasaki Precision Machinery (UK) Limited has appointed Simon Fantom as its new Sales Manager focusing primarily on the UK and Ireland territories. Simon brings over 30 years’ experience in the UK Hydraulics Sector, having previously held the positions of Managing Director at Linde Hydraulics Limited and General Manager – Sales UK at Bucher Hydraulics Limited in the previous 15 years. Speaking about his new role, Simon stated: “I am very excited to join such a worldrenowned company as Kawasaki Precision Machinery focusing on our continued growth within the UK and Ireland territories. Kawasaki is well known for high quality, high efficiency, reliable and innovatively designed products manufactured both in the UK and Japan for our customers wide ranging application needs”. EnerMech has appointed senior industry leader Ian Spenceley as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Asset Management Director as it continues to develop its specialist integrity and technical services globally, to offer integrated solutions as part of its full asset life-cycle support. With more than 30 years’ oil and gas experience, Ian’s addition to the senior leadership team will add further weight to the organisation’s asset integrity management, O&M and shutdown and turnaround (TAR) capabilities. The company is in a period of rapid growth as it increases its foothold in new and existing markets as it furthers its diversification strategy into new sectors including marine, renewable energy and infrastructure. Based in the UK and reporting directly into Carl Mook, Regional Director for Europe, Ian will also play a key strategic client facing role, identifying areas where the business can bring additional value to its clients. Initially this will involve the introduction and application of new smart processes, technologies, innovation, systems and strategic specialist partnering solutions to support further efficiencies and maximise investment. On taking up the role, Ian said: “EnerMech is forging ahead with its ambitious growth and diversification strategy which makes this a very exciting time to join the company.
