Unique Group, the subsea technologies and engineering company, has announced the appointment of Sahil Gandhi to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Himanshu (Harry) Gandhi, who will now assume the position of Chairman of the Group. Acting as Unique Group’s COO since 2017, Sahil has previously held Executive Director and Group Sales Manager roles. Under his leadership, the company has experienced rapid growth, diversifying its portfolio into unmanned survey technology and initiating digitisation that led the business to operational excellence, as well as renewing its commitment towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Upon assuming his new role, Sahil Gandhi expressed his commitment to building on the company’s legacy and positioning Unique Group as a frontrunner in providing subsea innovation for clients. He emphasised his dedication to innovation and transforming the industry by developing new products across various divisions, including survey, unmanned solutions, diving, buoyancy, and load testing. DYNASET, a trailblazer in hydraulic equipment solutions, has appointed Anni Karppinen as its CEO, effective since the beginning of 2023. Anni’s journey with DYNASET began in 2008, starting from welding generator assembly. Her role evolved, and she embraced challenges, including an internship as a sales secretary, leading her to develop a deep understanding of technical aspects through trial and error. Anni’s dedication led her to roles like Sales Manager and Executive Vice President. She brings an MBA in international sales and a fresh perspective as a mother to her one-year-old daughter. Anni acknowledges her team’s support in balancing motherhood and management. Guided by trust, clear goals, and a shared vision, Anni aims to nurture growth and maintain DYNASET’s positive working culture. The phrase “It is easy to say things from behind Anni’s shoulders” encapsulates her approachability. PCL’s newly appointed Head of Engineering and Product Development, Stephen Redfern says his top priority is staying ahead of the curve. After undergoing an indepth induction at the pneumatic expert’s Sheffield-based HQ, Redfern said he was ready to inject a progressive new energy to the company. Reporting to Operations Director Dean Battersby, Stephen is responsible for leading and managing PCL’s highly skilled engineers in the delivery of strategic aims, products and services. He commented: “I will be updating processes and looking at product innovation and speed to market across the entire portfolio; bringing all products up to date with new technologies and researching future technology and market trends. My goal is to drive innovation forward to further establish PCL as the technology leader in this industry.” As a senior leader with an excellent track record in product development and design for manufacture for the likes of Dyson, Mamas and Papas and Thetford Ltd., Stephen’s forward-thinking approach and technical capability is set to bring enormous benefit to PCL’s partners and customers. His focus on progressive project management always places the end user at the forefront of the development process.
