Hydraulic filtration and contamination monitoring specialist MP Filtri UK Ltd has appointed John Gardner as its new managing director. John joins from quick-connect coupling manufacturer CEJN and brings a wealth of experience in the fluid power sector to his new position - with more than 30 years in the industry, including 15 years in a leadership role. John, who succeeds Phil Keep, said his goal was to build on the successful legacy forged by his predecessor and ensure the company continues to lead the way in innovation and quality. He commented: ‘MP Filtri is a family company with a very strong commitment to customers. There is an experienced team already in place and I’m excited about the tremendous opportunities there are to deliver market-leading technology products and boost our presence in new and emerging markets around the globe. “It’s a dream job for me because we are already in an ideal position to grow our business. I am conscious of the challenge of following such an inspirational leader as Phil and look forward to building on his success and leading the company to a strong and successful future.” Compressed air specialist Pennine Pneumatic Services Ltd (PPS) has appointed Matt O’Connor as its new Managing Director. Matt, who has been Operations Director since 2018, took over from Ian Harrison on the 1 October. Ian, who has led the company for the past five years, will be staying on as an executive director. Matt O’Connor, PPS Managing Director commented on his appointment: “I’m excited to step into the Managing Director role at PPS, having worked closely with Ian to develop the business over the last six years. We have a fantastic team and culture at PPS, and I know we are in a great position for this next step. “As we look ahead at the next period of growth our strategic priorities are our commitment to sustainability, quality of our service delivery, increasing our product offering and the continual development our people.” Ian Harrison added: “I’m pleased to handover the responsibility to Matt, I know the business will be in safe hands as we share a lot of the same values. “PPS has changed a lot in the 22 years I have been here, we’ve grown massively but aways had people at the heart of it.” Dr. Lucian Dold has been appointed as the Senior General Manager for Global Account Business Development at Omron. Dr. Dold, has over 30 years of experience in industrial automation, and brings his expertise and passion for digital transformation to this role. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Dr. Dold serves as a lecturer at DHBW University where he has teaches his knowledge of digitalisation strategies for production, equipping the next generation of professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the dynamic landscape of Industry 4.0. Dold commented on his vision in his new role: “OMRON’s long-term vision ‘Shaping the Future 2030’ paves the way for close co-creation between customers, partners, and technology companies to realise sustainable business within a transforming society.
