November 2017 | Plant &Works Engineering | Maintenance Matters 19 The Chemours Company FC, says it has signed an agreement recognising MACLELLAN RUBBER as an authorised distributor of Viton, a brand of the Chemours Company and this means that MacLellan Rubber is officially recognised and acknowledged as selling products and material made with genuine Viton. Simon Winfield, director at MacLellan, said:“Being accepted as an official partner working with Chemours to promote and sell genuine Viton materials and products to our customers is a huge privilege. The signing of the License Agreement formalises this arrangement and provides evidence to our customers that we are one of only a few companies in the UK who are members of the Viton Licensee Program and authorised to sell ‘genuine’products made with Viton.” w| www.maclellanrubber.com/product/a075- chemoursreg-vitonreg-a-fkm-rubber-sheet Authorised distributor After many years in production, AIRBENCH says it has made the decision to stop production of its EX model. This is its lighter duty range, and is rarely supplied to new customers. Airbench says its FN type can be purchased at comparable prices for comparable sizes, and is a heavier duty unit, the FN type is welded and powder coated so is also a more robust product and the company thinks it offers better value and solves the same range of issues. Airbench says it does have some stock of parts, so current users of the EX type who would like to add to their installation while stock lasts should contact the company for latest pricing. t| 01206 791191 e| sales@airbench.com Retirement of EX range dp DOORS & SHUTTERS says it is now a legal requirement in accordance with the Machinery Directive, 98/79/EC and the workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulation 1992 that all power operated and automatic doors must be subject to a controlled and regular maintenance and service procedure with emphasis on the safety features. The company says when it undertakes a maintenance contract, its initial task is to identify each door in order to compile a data and information sheet which confirms the size and type of the door together with any other relevant details. dp Doors says part of its contract is to ensure a rapid response and guarantee to be on site the same day within 4 hours nationwide. The company says it uses innovative algorithms to analyse not only three- phase power quality but also mechanical power, torque, efficiency and speed, to determine system performance and detect overloaded conditions, eliminating the need for potentially costly or inaccessible motor load sensors. To find out more, and how to obtain a free firmware upgrade for an existing 438-II, visit www.fluke.co.uk/438 Using proprietary algorithms, the Fluke 438-II measures the three-phase current and voltage waveforms and compares them against rated specifications. w| www.fluke.co.uk Power quality and motor analyser ‘Next Generation’materials WILKINSON STAR, UK importer for MOSA has announced a major order from Hire Station for 100+ MOSALIGHT LED Lighting Towers, a compact, integral lighting tower with 5.5 metre mast featuring 2 x 300w LED light heads capable of 1800 square metres of light coverage at an average of 21 LUX.
