HI-LINE INDUSTRIES, a leading UK supplier to the compressed air sector, reports it has welcomed three new employees to its ranks. Stephen Martin joins as sales director, Matt Johnson takes up the title of project engineer while Brad Beesley arrives as internal sales co- ordinator. The news comes in the same week as Hi-line celebrates its latest safety award: the company has been granted the prestigious SafeContractor accreditation by Alcumus. The company says the upward trajectory of Hi-line Industries has been noted across the sector, the company moved into a new, much larger production facility last year in order to meet growing demand for its range of highly efficient compressed air purification equipment and it is acknowledged as Britain’s largest stockist of a broad range of air treatment ancillaries, and the largest supplier of refrigeration air dryers. At a time when the company continues to grow year- on-year, recording a record turnover for its most recent financial year, the company decided to further extend its strength in sales by appointing Stephen Martin as sales director, a move that Hi-line hopes will capture even more market share for the business. Also joining the Hi-line team is Matthew Johnson, who becomes project manager. Matthew started his career in the Royal Navy before moving into construction and engineering. Having worked in the ink industry for five years, Brad worked his way through the ranks from warehouse operative to account sales manager, and joins Hi-line as internal sales co-ordinator. Hi-Line says arriving at the same time as its new recruits, the SafeContractor accreditation builds on its ethos of safety first and awarded in July 2019, SafeContractor is the latest endorsement of Hi-line’s comprehensive safety standards t | 01283 533377 e | enquiries@hilineindustries.com w | www.hilineindustries.com The SADPmini2 range of Dewpoint Hygrometers are said to be specifically designed to offer fast and accurate measurement of dewpoint and moisture content in industrial gases and dry compressed air. Benefiting from very low diffusible hydrogen, this new wire achieves a yield strength of 690 MPa or greater and excellent sub-zero toughness down to -60°C. ESAB says suitable for manual, mechanised or robotic welding, Coreweld 69 LT H4 performs extremely well when fabricating components for applications such as cranes and lifting equipment, mobile machinery, chassis and bodywork for commercial vehicles, load handling equipment, hoppers and containers. A key advantage of Coreweld 69 LT H4 is its very low diffusible hydrogen, which is vital for avoiding hydrogen- induced cold cracking. Indeed, this new consumable meets the requirements of AWS H4 and EN ISO H5. t | 01992 769515 w | www.esab.com Metal cored welding wire Cost effective simple joining processes New appointments and latest safety accreditation KISTLER says its new NCFE servopress solution is specifically designed for simple joining processes to deliver a cost-effective alternative to conventional pneumatic or hydraulic systems. The company says compared to hydraulic or pneumatic units, the NCFE module offers impressively low energy consumption, simple handling and fast commissioning for applications in the measuring range from 10 to 80 kN. A new era dawns for machine builders – Kistler says the NCFE module is a cost-effective, off the shelf joining system using integrated sensor technology that gives users the benefit of complete end-to-end monitoring and control of the entire joining process. Installation and handling are made much simpler, so machine builders can design custom systems which deliver low energy consumption and flexibility. t | 01256 741550 e | sales.uk@kistler.com 30 | Plant & Works Engineering www.pwemag.co.uk September 2019 Process, Controls & Plant Monitoring compressed air usage within industrial applications has become increasingly important as the associated costs continue to rise dramatically. Compressed air systems are often the largest excess user of electricity for a business, with air leaks or poorly performing components contributing to a significant amount of wasted energy. In this age of energy efficiency to ensure a greener footprint, it is becoming more important for all businesses to identify and rectify any potential energy wastage situations. Problem areas in compressed air systems can be identified by fitting thermal mass flow meters, strategically positioned to calculate outflow generated air with downstream usage. BELL FLOW SYSTEMS offer a range of thermal mass flow meters designed for measurement of compressed air and Nitrogen.
