HI-LINE INDUSTRIES, an established and reputable UK manufacturer of high-quality compressed air purification equipment, has announced it is able to offer a cost-effective and proven way of meeting the ongoing demand for replacement compressed air filters. The company says rather than pay for expensive and often low-efficiency OEM filters, an increasing number are turning to Hi-line’s vast range of alternative elements, which frequently provide an ‘upgrade’ on competitor solutions at less cost. Hi-line says it is not only renowned for its proprietary range of high-quality filter housings and energy-efficient elements, but its vast range of alternative elements to ‘upgrade’ and replace competitor products and there is no longer any need to pay a premium for replacement compressed air filters as Hi-line’s alternative range of flow elements can cost circa 60-70% less than those available from compressor manufacturers. When considering there could be four elements on one system, the saving is significant. Hi-line says the alternative elements it produces provide an exact match with the size and connection specifications of the originals and its elements offer at least the performance of the original, although in many cases they actually provide higher performance because the company upgrades the technology. For instance, Hi-line uses pleated filter media rather than wrapped as it offers four times the cross-sectional area of standard elements. The larger cross-sectional area provides a number of important advantages, including lower pressure drop, which in turn saves energy as the compressor does not have to work as hard to force air through the filter. The company says it has seen a substantial increase in the number of requests for bespoke metal and plastic components since it quadrupled its laser engraving and profiling capacity with the installation of three new machines at its production facility near Bristol last year. Two laser engraving machines and a dedicated fibre laser profiling machine which can cut metals such as stainless steel, brass and aluminium, have enabled Brunel to produce profiles, shaped labels and control panels. The 401iw and 501iw feature a factory-integrated water cooler. Fabricator controls simplify operation by optimising arc performance for the wire and gas combination selected with predefined settings, and operators can independently adjust wire feed speed and voltage at the feeder. For process flexibility, Fabricator also provides an MMA welding output. These units use inverter-based technology to increase welding performance to improve mobility with lighter weight, increase energy efficiency and offer more advanced controls to boost weld quality and productivity. w | Fabricator series launched Compressed air filtration requirements IndEx Enclosures, a Kent-based manufacturer of hazardous area and industrial control gear enclosures has announced it has just dispatched the latest consignment of Activated Isolation, Modulation, Fire & Gas Damper junction boxes bound for the Tengiz oilfields of Kazakhstan. The custom-designed ATEX Zone 1 certified and Industrial Standard enclosures, were ordered by North Sea Ventilation (NSV) of Hull. Andrew Sully, NSV’s project manager, commented, “We originally began working with IndEx Enclosures on this contract back in 2016 leading to the supply of some 3,200 off ATEX- certified and Industrial Standard Junction Box enclosures destined for Kazakhstan which were delivered on time and as agreed.
