12 | Plant & Works Engineering www.pwemag.co.uk November 2021 Plant & Asset Management & Co-location Update PWE takes a look at the latest exhibitor news for the Plant & Asset Management Exhibition, Drives and Controls Exhibition, Smart Industry Expo, Air-Tech, and The Fluid Power and Systems Exhibition (NEC, Birmingham 5-7 April 2022). Exhibitors gear up for April showcase EASYTEC IIoT/sensor enclosures now in four new sizes OKW Enclosures Ltd Stand: K124 OKW has added four new sizes to its EASYTEC range of fast-mount flanged enclosures. The new larger sizes suit more complex applications that require extra installation volume – such as IT network technology and smart factory sensor equipment. EASYTEC offers good stability and can be mounted quickly and easily on poles or flat surfaces in challenging industrial environments – either indoors or outdoors. Applications include IoT/IIoT, sensor systems, security and monitoring, stock control, environmental, medical and laboratory technology. Its flat base has a curved recess for easy and secure pole mounting. Integrated mounting lugs feature apertures for cable ties and holes for panhead screws. The top is soft contoured for superior ergonomics. Internal screw pillars in the top and base enable EASYTEC to accommodate two PCBs. Tamperproof stainless steel Torx assembly screws make the housings ideal for medical electronics. EASYTEC is available in four plan sizes: original 80 and 100 – and now new 125 and 150. Each plan size is offered in two heights, giving a range of eight sizes from 101 x 50 x 22 mm to 172 x 93 x 46 mm. The enclosures are moulded from tough and UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) in off-white (RAL 9002) as standard.fills in coverage gaps and reveals hidden problems. The DTS+ system incorporates key features of Hepco’s PRT track system and original DTS, combining them with a high load capacity connection from the carriages to the drive belt. The carriages will not disengage from the belt, allowing transmission of higher driving forces compared to the original DTS system. While the original DTS will often be the right choice for many applications, the DTS+ is suitable for applications with high loads, a vertical orientation, or where the free space inside the track circuit is required to integrate additional equipment. As with DTS and DTS2, DTS+ comes as a complete package incorporating drive pulleys and belts, together with all the ancillary mechanical parts, limiting design time and ensuring quick installation. The robust track system was initially developed to meet the needs of Hepco’s Asian market, where DTS+ is established as a go-to product with proven success in the production of leading electronic systems and has recently been a reliable solution in applications to produce Covid-19 testing kits in Korea. DTS+ can handle loads up to 400N and speeds of up to 1.5m/s when carrying lighter loads. The DTS+ is also available with a carriage locking system which ensures that even with a higher payload and at a greater speed, the superior positional accuracy of +/-0.05mm that features in the DTS system can be maintained. DTS+ is available in a wide choice of system sizes Including 25-351, 44-468, 44- 612 and 76-799 with each system size offering three pulley options. The number of carriages is limited only by their size and the required pocket between carriages on the system. Gas valves for condensing boilers EBM-Papst Stand: F130 In condensing boilers, the gas valve is a key component for combustion control. It ensures safe, reliable operation and is crucial for providing the optimum combustion mixture. The gas valve range from ebmpapst provides solutions for both pneumatic and electronic composite systems. Natural gas is a natural product and has a different calorific value depending on its origin. However, these sources will dry up at some stage and new fuels will come along. Therefore, finely balanced systems are required to set the optimum combustion mixture. The gas valve prevents uncontrolled escaping of gas while simultaneously ensuring an optimum air/gas mixture, thereby satisfying a key function in condensing boilers. In practice, electronic combustion control is gaining in importance due to fluctuating gas qualities. Pneumatic combustion control has also been proven as an alternative for many years. ebmpapst offers both variants as a complete solution under the names CleanEco (pneumatic) and CleanVario (electronic). For pneumatic assemblies, the interaction of the valve with blower, venturi and control unit is very important for optimum function. That is why, since 2011, the manufacturer ebmpapst has included the E01 and D01 gas valves in its product range and has continuously expanded and refined these so that a large power range of 1.5 to 762 kW can now be supplied. The new version of the E01 valve now controls from 1.5 kW and ensures the correct ratio of gas and air fully mechanically. In an electronic composite system, the mixture ratio is determined by electronic actuation of the gas valve. To actively determine the gas quantity to be supplied, ebmpapst uses ionization technology which makes use of the electrical conductivity of the flame. The F01 series offers valves suitable for all power classes from 1.8 to 762 kW. With CleanVario, manufacturers don’t have to worry as much about different gas types and qualities. Combustion always runs optimally, efficiently and is environmentally friendly and will in future be suitable for the addition of up to 20 percent hydrogen. Certification for this is in progress.
