Dr Vimal Dhokia, will start the conference by demystifying some of the terms related to digitalisation to help set the scene for the day. 10.30am A practical journey to a digital future Steve Brambley, GAMBICA Chief Executive Steve Brambley will present a pragmatic guide to getting started on your smart manufacturing journey by discussing IT, cyber security, cloud computing and Industrial Automation and what it all means for Smart Manufacturing. 11am Made Smarter and making the digital change Made Smarter, North West Pilot – Donna Edwards, Programme Director Donna Edwards will explore the barriers and challenges North West Manufacturers have experienced around bringing technology into their businesses. The Digital Twin is the industrial manifestation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, IOT and all of the other common terms used to describe the digitalisation of industry. But what does it really mean for the manufacturer? How can it benefit the design, the production and the service either as a complete unbroken value chain or as a supplying SME in B2C and B2B?
