NOVEMBER 2017 AFTERMARKET 27 www.aftermarketonline.net solution. Mobil Boxx is much easier, more flexible and better to use. I now only need a third of the storage area and as we get through 700 to 1,000 litres of oil per year, Mobil Boxx fits very well. Thomas Brabandt: We have an excellent distribution network and delivery usually takes place within one to three days. Question: How did ExxonMobil get the idea for this new packaging solution? Alex Rennpferd: We were thinking about how to develop the Mobil 1 Workshop Programme to better support our customers in their working day. Mobil Boxx fits in very well, because it is practical and customer-friendly. As far as we know, the concept is a first in the Central European market. Question: And what do consumers say about Mobil Boxx? Alex Rennpferd: They are thrilled. We are very pleased with the positive response. Thomas Siebe: Looking at consumer feedback shows that Mobil Boxx was long awaited! have around 300 customers using Mobil Boxx in our pilot countries, Germany and England. The products currently available are appropriate for most makes of car. This makes Mobil Boxx extremely useful in workshops, especially the smaller ones which only have limited storage facilities. Thomas Nater: Mobil Boxx also makes it possible to store varieties of oil which are required less commonly. Ordering a 60 litre barrel is often uneconomical, so the Mobil Boxx offers an excellent solution. Question: Mr. Nater, you already use the Mobil Boxx in your workshop. How have you found it? Thomas Nater: We have previously used larger 60 litre barrels, which required appropriate devices to decant the oil. Leakage was always an issue and our employees found the barrels difficult to handle. We are very enthusiastic about the new packaging Mobil Boxx is a 20-litre container developed by ExxonMobil for the storage of engine oils. It consists of a sturdy plastic bag in an outer carton which ensures stability and convenient, space-saving storage. The liquid is filled via a sealable outlet tap on the bag. This makes it safer, more convenient and cleaner than conventional 60 litre lubricant barrels. Mobil Boxx is available for seven Mobil 1 and Mobil Super passenger car engine oils.
