D iesel emissions are a hot topic and set to remain so. Catalytic Exhaust Cleaner This multipurpose product is specifically formulated to treat diesel vehicles. There is a separate formula for petrol. Added to the fuel, the product removes carbon deposits from the engine, restores performance of the CAT and directly reduces soot load in the DPF with a dedicated regeneration additive. DPF Cleaner The DPF warning light coming on signals an overloaded filter. Something more powerful is required to help clear the soot. Unlike iron-based formulas this helps safely burn the soot off at a lower temperature with reduced ash and it significantly prolongs the life of the DPF. It just needs to be added to the fuel. There is no need to remove the DPF unit. The vehicle will then shortly be back in service. DPF Refill Fluid Certain types of diesel vehicles use an onboard DPF dosing system which drip feeds a fuel-borne catalyst into the fuel tank at each refill. There are various brands of fluid available and the JLM DPF Refill Fluid is a suitable replacement for all OEM fluids of this type. JLM also provide a custom refill kit to suit a variety of reservoirs. It’s important that the reservoir does not run dry to prevent damage to the DPF.
