The WhoCanFixMyCar.com website has been updated with HGS details, with 130 workshops already part of the network. Neil Hilton, HGS’ Head of Business Development, said: “By partnering with WhoCanFixMyCar.com, alongside those workshops that already use our equipment, we’ll have access to thousands that may be unsure of which diagnostics tools are the best for them. We can assist them in this task by introducing them to our market leading products, which will allow them to future-proof their businesses and maximise this revenue stream.” Al Preston, co-founder of WhoCanFixMyCar.com, said, “We’re excited that HGS is joining us. Workshops need to prepare themselves for the future and that means investing in the right diagnostic equipment. We have always focused on assisting our workshops and providing them with the tools to improve their business and we think that our partnership with HGS will benefit them hugely.” Bombs sent to garage Snap-on is offering a new seminar about ADAS. Visitors will learn about current and forthcoming legislation over the inclusion of ADAS systems on vehicles, as well as the implications for manufacturers and workshops. The evolution of ADAS technology is featured, along with a look at what might be coming through workshops’ doors in the future. Sessions are scheduled for dozens of locations across the country and take place in the evening. They last for approximately two hours. A garage in Cornwall was recently the recipient of homemade bombs, and the owner of the business said he is lucky to be alive. The police, fire service and paramedics were called to the business, based in Upton Cross, along with the Royal Navy bomb disposal team. A 100-metre perimeter was created, with roads blocked by police cars so the devices could be dealt with. The owner of the garage, which has been running for three years, is not being named due to security concerns. As reported in Cornwall Live, he said "there would have been nothing left" if the bombs had gone off. "It was my landlord who found them,” continued the owner. ”He called me and asked if they were anything to do with me. When he described it on the phone I said that sounds like a bomb and we should call the police. We don't know if it was targeted at me or the garage. That's what the police are trying to figure out. It could have been to a previous dispute with a former owner but we don't know. I'm just a working man who's trying to build a successful business, which has been going really well." The owner of the business also told Cornwall Live that the garage will continue despite the incident, and he has urged anyone with information to get in touch with the police.
