Sina Ataei has taken on the role following six years as the company’s Content Strategy Lead, where he headed up international web and social media activities. He succeeds Dr. Peter Szarafinski, who died unexpectedly at the end of 2022. Commenting on his new position, Sina said: “I look forward to my new role in the company, a little awestruck but also with pleasure.” Head of Public Relations and Communications Marco Esser added: “I am delighted that we were able to recruit Sina Ataei for the vacant position of Head of Media Relations International. The reason for this replacement is a sad one. I can hardly imagine a better and more worthy successor as media representative of our company.” Sina’s responsibilities will focus outside of German-speaking countries. Tobias Gerstlauer continues as Head of Media Relations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. New VP EMEA for Clarios Clarios, the company behind battery brand VARTA, has appointed Theres Gosztonyi as Vice President Aftermarket for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Prior to joining Clarios, Theres was Vice President B2C Aftermarket at Michelin, where she was responsible for Northern Europe, including the UK. Before that, she accrued 15 years’ experience in sales and marketing at Daimler AG, most recently as Head of Sales for Mercedes-Benz Trucks Eastern Europe. Commenting on her new role, Theres said: “Together with my team, I will work hard so that Clarios with its VARTA brand stays ahead of competition and offers the right products and services for our customers and consumers.” Werner Benade, Vice President and General Manager EMEA at Clarios, added: “We are excited that Theres Gosztonyi is joining our team at Clarios. She brings 18 years of profound management experience in the automotive sector.
