Mike has previously held a range of operations and training management positions across the automotive sector. On his new role, Mike observed: “I’m looking forward to being part of the Launch Tech UK team to offer guidance on the latest Launch products and assist in pushing the brand forward digitally.” Launch Tech UK Managing Director Dave Richards added: “We pride ourselves on offering dedicated technical support to provide our customers with experts at the end of the phone. We are delighted to have secured Mike for this position to ensure we can continue to deliver excellent customer service and tech support – and we believe his previous experiences and skills will also help bring fresh ideas to the team.” Craig McCracken named as new IAAF president Craig McCracken, Group Factor Manager at Arnold Clark Autoparts has been enthroned as the new President of the IAAF. He has over 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry, 37 of which he has spent at Arnold Clark. Commenting on his new role, Craig said: “Having been on the council for a number of years and Vice-President for the past two years, I have seen in more detail the challenges the automotive aftermarket faces and also witnessed the incredible work the IAAF does to overcome these and to ensure we all remain in business. I’m excited about the future direction of the federation, as we look to offer more tangible benefits to existing members and expand our membership to independent garages.” Mark Field, IAAF chief executive, said: “Craig is a passionate supporter of our trade and has both the experience and character to lead the Federation, as we continue our drive forward in protecting, strengthening and promoting the automotive aftermarket.” Craig succeeds immediate Past President Richard Welland and will remain on the IAAF board, alongside Richard, Honorary Treasurer Lawrence Bleasdale and Chief Executive Mark Field. Appointments at Prestige Prestige Fleet Servicing, part of the AA, has made a number of new appointments. Tina Hand has joined the company as Customer Service Director, while Tony Murtagh’s has been on-boarded as B2B Sales Director. Tina, who has 18 years’ experience combining customer relations and call centre management said of her new role: “Working with the right partner is becoming increasingly important for our customers, something that is vital when demand has the potential to outstrip supply – the situation we are currently experiencing in the garage sector. In working with a partner like Prestige, businesses can be confident of a resilient transport solution that will enable their business to thrive in the future.” Meanwhile Tony, who was most recently Global Sales Director for GoWithFlow and has previously worked with a number of brands across the fleet leasing, vehicle manufacture and asset finance sectors, added: “I’m looking forward to joining the Prestige team as we increase our capability to help fleets adapt and transition ahead of the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans.”
