Moray Melhuish takes up the specially-created post of commercial director and will be responsible for building on the success of its industry-advanced innovations as well as increase its portfolio of national and international projects. Moray brings an impressive track record of subsea expertise and industry know-how to WFS Technologies, a market-leading specialist in subsea wireless automation, the Subsea Internet of Things (SloT) and subsea cloud computing networks (SCCNs) which can be applied across oil & gas, offshore wind to aquaculture and smart cities. He was previously business development director at independent ROV specialist, ROVOP, where he played a pivotal role in helping the new start business grow from one to more than 50 ROV systems. Mark Ford, technical manager of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), has been promoted to Technical Director of the global organisation. “Mark has been with IMCA for the last seven years and knows the Association perhaps better than anybody,” explained IMCA’s CEO, Allen Leatt. “I know therefore that he will do a great job for us in driving our technical programme, which continues to grow in scope and detail. Mark Ford joined the IMCA Secretariat in 2012 from Charles Taylor Consulting, where he worked as a senior surveyor and divisional director in the safety and loss prevention department. At Braemar Engineering he was a consultant engineer specialising in FMEA studies of offshore vessels. Earlier, he worked as a Superintendent Engineer managing a fleet of vessels with respect to dry dockings and technical maintenance. Mark has a 25-year career at sea including extensive experience as Chief Engineer on DSVs and offshore support vessels. WFS Technologies appoints subsea industry player Boulting Technology, a leading systems integrator, is strengthening its Industry 4.0 offering with the appointment of former sales manager, Nick Boughton, as its digital lead. The position is a new role at Boulting, allowing the business to enhance its digital offering as the world of engineering evolves. Since joining Boulting Technology in 2005, Boughton has been an integral part in developing and implementing the company’s digital capabilities. In 2018 Boulting formed a new alliance with NETbuilder, a leading provider of software and IT consulting services and joined Siemens’ MindSphere Partner Program. In his new role, Boughton will build upon these alliances to offer a fully integrated IT/OT solution for the company’s clients. “Like the industry itself, my job has changed significantly over the years. I’ve moved from more hands-on roles, such as my first job with APV Automation, to that of more strategic work here at Boulting,” said Nick Boughton.
