18 OFFSHORE ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT offshoreequipment.co.uk September 2019 Business  Elfab, a leading manufacturer of pressure safety solutions, has enhanced in-house testing capabilities with its new ASME certified Flow Lab. The company says it is the first rupture disc company outside the USA to gain this certification, improving its position to attract global business to the UK. Located at Elfab’s headquarters in the North East of England, the Flow Lab is a test rig developed and assembled by Elfab’s engineering team. ASME certification allows Elfab to carry out capacity testing, and the company now has authorisation to apply the UD-stamp to a wide range of rupture discs for systems built to ASME pressure vessel codes. The UD stamp is a legal requirement for many pressure relief products sold to the US and other geographical regions worldwide. www.elfab.com Flow Laboratory Certification Pembrokeshire-based technical consultancy InSite Technical Services has completed the purchase of new premises at 1 Cleddau Bridge, Pembroke Dock. This is an important milestone for the company, which has spent its first four years in serviced offices at the Bridge Innovation Centre, an incubation hub for new businesses. It moved to the new premises, at the end of March. The move is a result of the company’s dramatic growth. The company operates both locally and internationally, supplying engineering design, technical consultancy and operational services to the oil, gas, metals, chemicals, renewables, technology licensing and financial industries. www.insitetechnical.com Modus is marking a decade of trading with a new look. Changes include a new brand identity and website, as well as the new strapline of ‘Smart Subsea Services’. Since its inception, Modus has actively sought innovative solutions and worked collaboratively with customers to meet their needs. Whilst seabed intervention remains a key service, the new identity better reflects the full company offering which also includes AUV services, managed and technical services, and ROV services. The new look encapsulates all four business lines and represents the company’s hi-tech, innovation led focus. Modus CEO, Jake Tompkins commented, “for some time we have been conscious that the company branding did not fully reflect all our service lines. Our 10-year anniversary gave us the opportunity to address this and to launch a new look. In addition to seabed intervention and trenching, which remain a core activity, we are also providing expert ROV services, managing customer assets and operations and we are leading the way with the application of advanced hybrid AUV services. www.modus-ltd.com EnerMech will develop an onshore capability into the South West of England which will create up to 100 jobs in the Bristol area over the next three years.
